Disney’s parent company, Disney, has officially announced plans to take the # DisneyFamilyCare program and invest in families, including through a $100 million investment.
The announcement comes a day after Disney announced it would spend $100M to support the #FamilyCare campaign, which aims to “provide affordable childcare opportunities, foster lifelong learning, and encourage families to participate in the workplace.”
In addition to the investments announced today, Disney also announced a partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to provide financial support to the # FamilyCare campaign.
As a part of this campaign, the Chamber will provide $100,000 to the Chamber’s National Child Care Leadership Initiative.
# Familycare will help build on the # Chamber’s foundation of leadership by creating more jobs for families, improving childcare access, and supporting childcare access across the country, according to a statement.
The initiative was launched to “ensure that children can attend school in the safest, most secure and cost-effective environment for their health and well-being.”
