The NHLPA has launched a new ad campaign aimed at promoting a new initiative that it hopes will lead to players returning to the ice.
In the new ad, a young player, wearing a green T-shirt, is seen walking through the NHLPA’s headquarters on Thursday in New York.
The NHLPA said in a statement that the ad “is part of our ongoing efforts to encourage our players to get back to the rink after a long and difficult season.”
The league said it has been working with the NHL Players’ Association and other players’ associations in recent weeks to “explore ways to encourage more participation from our players in their communities and to increase participation in our games.”
The campaign will run on ESPN, NBC, ABC, CBS and ESPN2.
